Hi, am currently on placement from my degree in Computer Forensics, return to uni in September but want to start thinking about my dissertation now. I need to start developing a programme which performs some kind of forensic analysis on anything! However, it must not have been done before!! I know its cheeky to ask, but anyone got any ideas for me? Thought about doing a Skype .dbb file analyser but it seems there are a few already out there, darn!

Many Thanks Laughing

think of following:

- special distros of Db. (e.g. solid db )
- .flv files steganography tool
- printer grabber. Explaining:... more and more files are send to printers over OCR which leave no trace in spool or other system folder/file. A specific tool could intercept this action in a specified file as log.

and many more.. use your imagination. Think like a malicious person and consider his motive/procedures/actions and go on.
