Author: scheric1, Posted: Thu Mar 26, 2015 12:52 pm Post subject: computer randomly slows down even with low system load ---- I often get points throughout the day where my computer slows down completely, even through task manager shows less then half of RAM being used and CPU sometimes is barely above idle.
Think this may be caused by some malware. Malwarebytes keeps detecting something that never seems to get removed. HJT included too.

Beyond that you could also install a packet sniffer i.e.: windump, Wireshark, .... and use these to log all packets in an out. This will give you a definitive snapshot of what is communicating. That said, you may need to let it run for some time to possibly catch the malware.
